I doubt NYC landloards will buy into this idea, but it is nevertheless pretty amazing in its humanity. After all, didn't Michelangelo and Picasso and many a writer payed for their everyday existence with their art?
The idea of The Merit Shop comes from Daniel Soares and Pedro Sampaio, and is based on exchanging one's talents for goodies. To win a Christmas Ball, for example, all you need to do is sing a song, draw something, or tell a joke and upload it en route of YouTube or Instagram.
I can see many a charity using this form of exchange for their donations. It's a more fun way of giving, anyway.
